Empowering Communities: KAYD Foundation’s Journey with the MN PROMISE Act

🎥 Check out Mohamed Ahmed’s short spotlight video to hear his inspiring story firsthand!

Meet Mohamed Ahmed, the passionate founder of the KAYD Foundation. KAYD’s philosophy has four key points:

  1. Health

  2. Education

  3. Environmental Issues

  4. Economic Development

Mohamed first heard about the MN PROMISE Act from a friend. “I heard about the MN Promise Act from a friend. We applied. I was not sure what was at the end of the tunnel, but I saw the opportunity and applied. The application process was highly effective, and the communication was good in the first stage. Then stage two was about being patient, as the communication was still effective. At least, even if you didn’t get it, the information was sufficient.”

Then came the unexpected moment of joy. “Finally, the day came while I was not expecting it. I got the good news, and again I said, 'This is real.' Then, after a few days, I saw the figure in my bank account. The moment I saw it, I knew what I had heard about the MN Promise Act was 100 percent correct and a good opportunity. We will spend it with ethics and high standards to achieve all our goals and then give feedback to you on what we did.”

Thank you one million and one time, and we’ll continue working together the rest of my life.
— Mohamed's gratitude is heartfelt

With the grant funds, Mohamed is committed to strengthening the impact of the KAYD Foundation. The funds will be allocated thoughtfully across several areas, including capacity building, a small portion for rent, investments in technology, and support for other essential services provided by the organization. Mohamed plans to work closely with his team to define specific priorities and ensure the funds are used effectively and ethically. Their goal is to uphold high standards, achieve the foundation’s objectives, and provide transparent feedback on how the grant has been utilized.
